Travis Jones brings a practical and analytical approach to all forms of litigation and business disputes. His background in construction particularly lends itself to work with residential and commercial property liens, construction defect cases, and contractual matters. As a laborer, carpenter, and superintendent on multimillion-dollar construction projects, Mr. Jones has seen firsthand what it takes to accomplish a construction project cooperatively while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
Mr. Jones grew up on the central coast of California and attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2013. He then attended SMU Dedman School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude. After receiving the Dean’s Scholarship to attend SMU, Mr. Jones became a member of the Science and Technology Law Review, was on the executive committee for the Sports and Entertainment Law Association, participated in on campus competitions, and worked as a law clerk in construction litigation. He is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
